Echorouk unveils “threshold” of courses for 2014 Baccalaureate exam
The much – awaited announcement of the “threshold of courses” has witnessed a delay of 10 days despite earlier assurances by former National Education Minister Abdellatif Baba Ahmed that such a decision on a limit to courses will be announced on April 25th but it was put off for myriad reasons.
Reliable sources told Echorouk that the long – awaited threshold was not finalized as it concerns the last courses in every subject of study spanning all high – schools across the national territory.
The limit to courses ahead of the 2014 Baccalaureate exam has been set on the basis of the first and second school semesters only while excluding the third one on account of the delay recorded in the teaching of many courses in various provinces of the country, the same sources added.
This threshold of courses has been defined by the Education Ministerial Department in close conjunction with the Education directorates across the 48 provinces of the country.
Education Ministry sources confirmed that the candidates for the 2014 session of the Baccalaureate examination would be questioned solely on those courses really taught during the school year which is in itself synonymous with a threshold as called for by most fretful students and their parents.
