El-Djeich Magazine: New Algeria’s Doctrine is Wildly Pragmatic
The magazine “El Djeich” affirmed that the new, victorious Algerian doctrine is extremely pragmatic in building bridges of cooperation and partnership with all, based on the principle of mutual interests and benefits. It is also deeply rooted in the November Revolution and the legacy of the blessed liberation revolution.
In its editorial for the March issue, titled “Our Doctrine is Pragmatic and Closely Linked to the November Principles,” the magazine “El Djeich” (The Army) recalled the glorious milestones in Algerian history associated with March, noting that it is “the month of martyrs, in which the finest and most loyal sons of Algeria were martyred, and the month of Victory Day, in which the will of the Algerian people was realized, forcing the oppressive French colonizer to submit and recognize our legitimate right to independence and sovereignty after a sweeping revolution whose echoes resonated throughout the world.”
The publication noted that this anniversary is being commemorated as the new Algeria continues its path of victories and consolidates gains at all levels, whether economic, social, or developmental.
This is embodied, as the magazine pointed out, in “the major achievements that have been realised and welcomed by citizens who now see change as a tangible reality in their daily lives, through various strategic projects. These projects, as emphasized by the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in his message commemorating the dual anniversary of the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers and the nationalization of hydrocarbons, confirm that current national policies are based on the criteria of feasibility and realism, and on the soundness of sovereign political decision-making.”
This trend reflects the new, victorious Algerian doctrine, which is “closely linked to the principles of November and the legacy of the blessed liberation revolution,” and is “extremely pragmatic in building bridges of cooperation and partnership with everyone on all continents, based on mutual interests and benefits.”
The same issue highlighted the transformation Algeria is undergoing, reflected in its prestigious standing at both the regional and international levels. It noted that Algeria has become a trusted partner for various countries worldwide, thanks to its pragmatic policies and unwavering, sincere commitments. The magazine further stated that Algeria has strengthened the trust of its African brothers and sisters by championing the concerns and aspirations of the continent’s peoples, based on its role as a voice of wisdom and justice that has consistently advocated for unifying the continent’s voice and translating the principle of African solutions to African problems into practical reality.
On the Victory Day, the magazine emphasized that Algerians are “called upon more than ever to preserve this priceless achievement, an achievement that the People’s National Army, the heir to the National Liberation Army, continues to defend and protect against anyone who dares to encroach upon an inch of our sacred land and anyone who attempts to target our territorial and people’s unity.”
“This is achieved through the tireless efforts of the People’s National Army in securing our extensive borders and combating the remnants of terrorism and organized crime in all its forms, particularly confronting the declared war on drugs waged by the Makhzen regime against our country and its desperate and repeated attempts to flood our nation with these poisons—tasks which our valiant army carries out with unwavering resolve, commitment, and competence,” the magazine added.
The People’s National Army continues in this direction “with unwavering resolve and an unyielding will,” the editorial adds, fully aware of the magnitude and weight of its responsibility and deeply cognizant of the challenges posed by current regional and international transformations.
In the same vein, the magazine highlighted the People’s National Army’s determination to “win the bet on the practical implementation of the approach adopted in countering the abhorrent phenomenon of terrorism and its obscurantist ideology, cleansing Algerian soil of its defilement, and confronting all forms of organised crime and cross-border smuggling. These scourges have become one of the greatest threats facing our country, within the framework of a malicious scheme targeting social cohesion and economic development, as emphasised by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Saïd Chengriha.”
The magazine concluded by reiterating that preserving this precious achievement and confronting all the malicious schemes aimed at destabilising Algeria is “a duty borne by everyone and requires awareness and concerted efforts from all, including Algerian women, who prove day after day their active role in society and their pivotal position in many sectors.”
