Wednesday’s Damascus blasts did not target the UN mission of observers, and the free army protected them in Douma and Harasta, and in many Syrian cities as well, official at the free Syrian army’s military council, Ammar Wawi told Echorouk.
“Many of the blasts had targeted military building, including an explosion at the headquarters of the General Staff of Army and the new Officers Club in Damascus, the building of aviation, near the building of the general staff of the Syrian army in Amawiyine Square in Damascus. The scene of the blast away from the hotel where members of the United Nations’ mission of observers with more than 300 meters. The targets were military and are not related to the UN Mission in Syria. Assad’s gang wants to play their own game, trying to mislead the public opinion by saying that the blasts targeted the United Nations’ Mission,” and that “the Free Syrian Army welcomes this mission as it welcomed Kofi Annan and as it will welcome Lakhdar Ibrahimi, although the UN Mission has no importance in Syria, it did not have a supportive force in the ground, which is able to force the regime to apply the decisions. Today’s blasts is a message to Assad and his gang that the free Syrian is able to reach any place or goal”, Ammar Wawi added during a phone conversation with Echorouk.
“We are preparing tocarry out blasts in Syria, starting from the presidential palace, and the embassies of China, Russia, Iran, and their services in Syria. They are legitimate targets for the Free Syrian Army’s units, and you will hear in the next few days, news of these blasts”.
