French interior minister shows solidarity with the Muslim community following mosque’s desecration

In an act of vandalism with the aim to provoke the Muslim community established in France, unknown people hang pig heads on a mosque’s gate locate in the city of Monteauban, Toulouse , southern France and left a pail full of blood on the mosque’s threshold after sprinkling the main entrance.

• In a declaration to Echouorouk, the member of the French Council of the Islamic Religion, Abdellah Zekri has yesterday indicated that the Algerian prayers were stunned at the scene upon their arrival to the mosque for performing the dawn prayer.

• They have discovered two pigs’ heads tacked on the gate and a big pail filled with blood deposited at the threshold. The heinous act stirred their anger especially that the offenders have carried out their inflammatory ct during the holly month of Ramadan, the interlocutor added.

• Abdellah Zekri has vehemently denounced this veil act, qualifying those behind it by fascists and xenophobic. He has expressed his outrage saying that those barbarous have shown disrespect to the Muslim community especially during this pious period of time which coincides with Ramadan.

• He has further noted that the French interior minister Emanuel Valse has suspended his vacation and moved to the mosque to take part to a dinner with the fasters as a gesture of solidarity with the them.

• Valse has expressed his utmost outrage to this veil act in a message to the president of the mosque’s association that read” In my quality of a citizen and minister in charge of religious affairs, I would like to denounce this barbarous act that smeared the reputation of the Muslim community of France and shocks all the citizens that advocate tolerance”.

• The minister went on saying” The security forces will do their utmost to unmask those responsible for this heinous act with the view to differing them to justice”.
