Gaid Salah: “Armed Forces, Algerian People Share Same Vision Of The Country’s Future”

Armed forces and the people share the same vision for the future and the ties between them are strong and spontaneous, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, said on Sunday, in a speech during a working visit to the National Preparatory School for the Studies of Engineer in the First Military Region.

“Every people has qualities and characteristics that are known to them and they are the constituents of their national character, which are inherited by generations. The people who relied yesterday on the rigidity of its character and made of it the best weapon of the past, is the same which embraced the liberation revolution and supported the National Liberation Army, and resisted the brutal oppression of colonialism, from which it derived its ability to face all forms of suffering, it is the same people with the same national character, which children today demonstrate with a high degree of jealousy for its homeland and a high degree of care for its image and reputation among nations”.

“The National People’s Army, the descendant of the Liberation Army, which is proud of being the heart of this noble people and proud to share with it the same values and principles and share its the legacy of these noble elements of the national character, firmly believes that people with such qualities and values, is proud of an army with the same specifications and characteristics”.

“The people and their army combine all the elements of friendship, respect, sympathy, solidarity and all the elements of the future vision of Algeria. The incentives for gaining the level of capacity to unify the vision towards the homeland are present, and are created by a shared vision of history, present and prospects for Algeria’s promising future, which people still know the secrets of a ruthless world, that is boiling and tinged with many urgent and planned events and changes”.

“I know very well that the authentic and conscious Algerian people, which at all times proved it is the people of stances, knew and knows how to preserve its homeland. Algeria is certainly fortunate in its people and the People’s National Army is also lucky to have such people.”

Concerning the presence of women in the armed forces, Gaid Salah highlighted the great importance that is accorded by the senior leadership to the female presence in all components of the national army, including the school seats in all military schools and the schools of the nation’s juniors which were re-sent in accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense.

Deputy National Minister said: “As we review this annual achievement in the field of education and training, which was in the attainment of the female component of its share, I consider my duty in this regard, Algeria salutes International Women’s Day, to greet all students and all frames of the female element, and all the female employees of the military institution, wishing them a successful career.”

Maj. Gen. Gaid Salah reiterated the importance of the Algerian student in building the future industry. He said: “In this regard, I have said more than once that the person who makes the future of the student is the student himself. After providing everything that would make the training system work, by all the necessary means to ensure the full success of the endeavours of the training system.”
