Gaid Salah: “Our Armed Forces Are Vigilant Along The Homeland’s Borders Day And Night”

The Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), Ahmed Gaïd Salah, said on Wednesday, during the third day of his working and inspection visit to the 4th Military Region in Ouargla in southern Algeria, that the Armed Forces are “unrelenting” in securing the country’s borders and safeguarding the foundations of its security and stability.
“In accordance with the requirements of the duty to continuously promote the capacities of the ANP Army , we have worked to develop an approach that is clear in terms of substance, ambitious in terms of objectives and flexible in terms of application and execution.
A rational and far-sighted approach, which takes into account possible geopolitical variables and the current and future challenges they pose. This realistic approach is adapted to our own specificities and our ability to transform it into concrete achievements on the ground,” said Gaïd Salah, who inspected some units in the Biskra Military Sector.
Indeed, “we are now guided in our work by the principles of this approach, the results of which testify to the qualitative progress achieved by the various components of our Armed Forces, which are constantly monitoring, day and night, the security of the borders of our country and the safeguarding of the foundations of its security and stability. This is our objective and purpose,” he added.
The Major General also highlighted the need to “preserve and strengthen the various achievements, and the imperative of adapting the objectives set with the development process of our valiant Armed Forces”.
“In this context, maintaining the current momentum is not an objective in itself, but rather accelerating its pace in line with the achievement of the expected objectives,” he underscored.
For him, “this requires the preservation and reinforcement of what has been achieved, while working to focus our efforts more on excellence and perfection, by adopting a fair and relevant approach in the continuous evaluation of what is achieved in the field, as well as by borrowing a planned working methodology that takes into account, not only the achievement of the objectives outlined, but also and above all, the need to ensure that these objectives are adapted to the development process of the ANP and its future. This is how we can establish, in a solid and correct way, a successful professional process,” he said.
Mr. Gaid Salah further pointed to “the degree of development achieved in all specialties of the military profession, and across all components of our Armed Forces, so that they are in harmony with the efforts made, the resources made available in terms of human and material resources and equipment and armaments, as well as the ambitious and legitimate objectives set out, which together aim to ensure the ownership of all elements of military power, in accordance with the overall strategy adopted”.
