Gaid Salah: “The Right Of People To Be Assured Of Algeria’s Present, Future Is Guaranteed”

Armed forces will continue its efforts to promote continuous development and push all its various components into harmony with the legitimate right of the Algerian people to be fully assured of their country’s present and future, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National Popular Army, said during a speech to the members of the units carrying out the live ammunition exercise “Hasm 2019” in the territory of Sidi Bel Abbes, western Algeria.

“The actual development and the real improvement of the level necessitate giving utmost importance, year after year, to the preparation of various tests and plans. This preparation, which we always keep keen to start at the beginning of each training year, in order to achieve tactical and operational processes in line with the chosen test exercise and an excellent and effective ability in the individual and collective implementation of these plans to achieve the fullest success of the objectives that are set for each exercise”, he added.

“These are results of the work and the efforts that we wish to produce each year of training, through the results of such field exercises, that have yielded successful results. These results are the fruits of the efforts that are being exerted in order to be followed by new steps from the successive and qualitative steps that the National Popular Army, the descendant of the National Liberation Army, continues to make.”

According to the statement of the National Defense Ministry, which copy is received by Echorouk, Gaid Salah closely followed the course of the exercise, which aims to increase combat capabilities and cooperation between the various arches, as well as training leaders and arks to prepare, plan and lead operations against potential threats, and crews to acquire more skills in the control of weapons’ systems.

The Chief of Staff followed the various combat operations that were carried out by the units, which have already been highly professional in all stages and at an excellent tactical and operational level, reflecting the high combat capabilities of the crews and commanders at all levels, especially with regard to the optimal utilization of the field and high level coordination between the involved various units, which contributed to achieve very satisfactory results that are embodied by the accuracy of shots with various weapons.
