Since the announcement on the Paris terror attacks, Imams condemn many comments which express gloating and joy at the terror attacks which target France and that were published in the social networks, as some people wrote that the latter is paying the price of racism against Muslims and Arabs.

This phenomenon is strongly denounced by imams who told Echorouk that the teachings of the Islamic religion strongly refuse gloating at the death of Muslims and other peaceful religions, considering that any gloating now in the calamity of France may increase the conflict between Christians and Muslims, especially since the majority of Algerians’ comments are written in the French language.

In this subject, the Grand Mosque Imam and Sheikh of the Scientific Zaouia for teaching the Holy Quran, Sheikh Ali Aya, said that Islam defended the animals and plants, so it does not allow terror against a peaceful person.

“Killing can only be in a state of war, like the liberation revolution, when the French colonizer raped the Algerians’ land, money, honor and faith, and like what is happening to our brothers in Palestine, who are the defenders of Jerusalem. Otherwise peaceful people should not be killed and terrorized, and we should not gloat at their death.”

“We as Muslims know the story of the woman who entered paradise because she gave water to a thirsty dog, and a Muslim woman who entered hell because she detained a cat.”

“Regarding the suicide bombings under the pretext of jihad, I issued a fatwa in the black decade in Algeria in 1994. Jihad has legitimate controls, and suicide bombings are not an Islamic Sunna, but it is a behavior that was invented by the Japanese during the World War, when they blew themselves up in American ships. Suicide attacks distort the image of Islam, because killing is not only against fighters on the battlefield, but even the fighter who surrendered should not be killed, but must be treated.”

“Even the invasion has ethics; the Prophet (PBUH) did not allow the killing of women, kids and elderly, sick, insane, monks and the owners of silos”.
