Italian Foreign office calls nationals to boycott Algeria.
A bad image built by Italian diplomacy on the security situation in Algeria. The Italian Foreign Office depicted Algeria as being a very risky country on its nationals. Italians were called on cancelling or postponing their travel to Algeria and all its regions. The advice warned Italians against risks linked to a volatile social situation with strikes and demonstrations that may arise at any time. Two cities were quoted in the Italian Foreign Office’s travel advice: Algiers and Oran as being areas where the social discontent might be the worst in terms of public order. The Algerian desert in general is a very bad place to go to for Italian, according to the same release.
