Karim Ziani and Antar Yahia to play World Cup despite their lack of competition
One hundred days left for the D-Day of the World Cup in the country of the historical personality of Nelson Mandela.
- The national coach Rabah Saadane held a press conference Monday where he said Antar Yahia and Karim Ziani are to be involved in the squad ahead of the World Cup in South Africa despite their low profiles with their German teams.
- On the possibility of their lack of competition, Saadane says Ziani and Antar Yahia are professionals who have been training regularly with their clubs. He added that there is no fear on them in this regard.
- Algeria’s coach alluded to the possibility to test some new players in their last Internship in Italy. “People can be assured that I have been following closely all the local Algerian players and those playing for European Championships.”

- He added that they are under treatment and he hopes they could recover soon. As for Halliche his injury is being treated. Concerning the goalkeeper Gaouaoui, he says that he is not ready for the match against Serbia.
- He further said that he had punished Fawzi Chaouchi after the semi final match against Egypt during the African Cup of Nations but he is coming back soon.
- Concerning the friendly match against Serbia, he says that the outcome of the match is not very important because he is going to assess a number of new players.
