Former international player, Kamal Kassi Said is appointed new general manager of Algiers Mouloudia Football Cub (MCA), replacing Omar Gharib, who was sacked early this month.

Sonatrach company’s officials chose Kassi Said, as it was said during the surprising decision to dismiss Gharib that was taken by this large national institution that owns the vast majority of the club’s shares.

It is known that Kassi Said, who also played for Zamalek in Egypt for two seasons, was head of Algiers Mouloudia football team but was deported on May,3, 2014 on the occasion of his famous brawl with the chairman of the team Boudjemaa Boumeleh due to their dispute over eligibility for the Algerian Cup which the club won two days earlier over JS Kabylie club.

Previously, Algiers Mouloudia director, Djamal Marbout, was in charge of the team’s affairs temporarily since Gharib’s dismissal.

He also led the recruitment of two players for the team, who are the striker Soufiane Balegh from Ittihad Bel Abbes club and the midfielder Abdellah Muathine of Paradou club in the form of one season’s loan.
