Khadher Habib to Echourouk: Israel wants to throw Gaza in the Egyptian arms

Despite the disastrous security conditions prevailing in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli strikes against the leaders of the Palestinian resistance, Echouorouk succeeded to make a short interview with the leader of the Islamic Fighting Movement Cheikh khadher Habib who expressed himself over the negotiations underway in Cairo.

• Replying to a question over the Egyptian mediation to end the strikes, Habib has indicated that efforts are underway with the help of several parties including Arab, Turkish and European ones to exert pressure on the Israelis with the view to calming the situation, but the other party has set up unacceptable conditions for the Palestinian resistance which make it impossible to reach a consensus.

  As to the aim behind the Israeli attacks on Gaza, the Palestinian official has asserted that the war was planned long time before by the Zionist administration in order to retrieve the hegemony lost on the area during previous conflicts.

  The long truce was brokered by the Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi himself not by the Egyptian intelligence as usual putting thus, Gaza territory under its responsibility to alleviate the burden on the Israelis in addition to guarantees that weapons will not be smuggled through the borders to Gaza territory.

  Khader Habib has expressed his utmost disappointment concerning the Arab nations’ reactions to the crisis which , according to him, didn’t live up to the expectations… We want concrete actions from the Arab and Islamic world and call on these nations to exert sway on America and the European countries to stop the genocide, he said.
