Lawyers to lodge a complaint in Madrid against the Algerian flag burners

The Algerian lawyers and legislators rejected any attempt to belittle the act of burning the Algerian flag by the Egyptian lawyers and called for the trial of the criminals involved in this heinous act as well as disclosing the identities of the plotters.

• The Algerian lawyers are about to built a consistent file in which they incriminate their Egyptian counterparts and will be forwarded to a specialized court in Madrid. The culprits who burnt the Algerian flag after the play- off match in Sudan, will be heard by the same court, legal sources informed Echourok.

• The document comprises video tapes, photographs and a list which included the names of the Egyptian Lawyers who burnt the Algerian flag and their accomplices alike. The Algerian lawyers will add new elements to consolidate their complaints, including official declarations and notices incriminating the president of the Egyptian bar who said “ On behalf of 40 thousand Egyptian lawyers, I ‘m calling for the cutting diplomatic ties with Algeria and expelling the Algerian ambassador from Cairo”.

• The Algerian lawyers’ delegation, currently taking part to the Arab Lawyers’ Union’s meeting in Damascus, has informed its Syrian and other Arab countries counterparts that Algeria will not keep silent on the sullying of its symbols and the martyrs’ blood in Cairo and be buried in Damascus.

• Though implicitly, the Syrian and several other Arab parties have expressed their solidarity and support for the Algerian call to take a firm and common position concerning the burning of the million and half country’s flag.

• Talking in a restricted meeting devoted to the debate over the Union’s budget, the Egyptian lawyer tried to dwindle the heinous act declaring “ This act was carried out by immature individuals who burnt the picture of the Algerian flag”
