Medelci: “Some countries want to make of Algeria an arm to launch war in the Sahel”

Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci, accused countries, without mention their names, of trying to make Algeria an arm to strike the Azawad movement, which is located in Mali and Niger, on the grounds that it is an extremist movement.

War will extend inevitably to the two regions, the Azawad and Ansareddine movements, which are mediating for the release of Algerian diplomats who were kidnapped in Mali“.

Medelci avoids, in a session held in Tuesday, with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the National People’s Council, providing more details about the security situation in northern Mali, but only asserted the danger of launching a war on the Azawad movement, under the pretext that its presence extends to Niger as well, which may be included by this war if it will start, and added according to what as confirmed by parliamentary sources, that foreign countries, without mentioning their names, want to make of Algeria an arm to strike the Azawad movement, under the pretext that it is that it is extreme denying altogether to have an organization linked to terrorism saying: “They want to ignite a war in the southern Region, but Azawads are also active in Niger, and the war on Mali’s Azawads will be extended to this country. “

Algeria has a clear position towards Mali crisis. Azawads and Ansareddine “supporters of religion” ovements, are coordinating to release the Algerian diplomats who were kidnapped in Mali, and wondered about how the two movements are linked to terrorism by Western nations, in fact they do non use adequate and accurate information on the real situation in the region, and with respect to

the position of the Libyan authorities, that recently close its border with Algeria. The decision has to do with the nature of the security situation, and the cooperation between the two countries is still open, as well as that the Libyans were busy of rebuilding their country
