Mohamed Aissa: “Al Ahmadiyya Sect’s Activities Are Geared To Foreign Intelligence Purposes”
“A bill will be drafted shortly to bolster the protection of Algerians from all sectarian and doctrinal drifts and deviations.” announced Monday, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Mohamed Aissa, at the Forum of the national Radio.
“Algeria, which duly respects freedom of worship and the practice of rituals,” he insisted, “must have legal texts designed to protect the unity of its children and able to outwit any inclination of those who aspire to divide the Muslims into sects or in rites”.
According to the Minister of Religious Affairs, the State cannot remain idly by in the face of “sects, manipulated from the outside, preaching evil and degrading reflections”.
Mr Mohamed Aissa pointed an accusing finger at the perpetrators, notably those belonging to the nefarious Al Ahmadiyya sect, for their low-down attacks on the sacred symbols of Islam, such as the blasphemy of the holy Qur’an and the noble Sunnah, the humiliation of the valourous Companions of the lofty Prophet Mohamed (God’s Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) as well as the organization of evangelistic campaigns, in addition to the deliberate breaking by some misguided people of fasting in public during the holy month of Ramadhan”, he hammered.
To counter this hovering threat, the distinguished guest of the Radio Forum announced that his ministerial department is planning to set up a National Observatory for the Protection of the National Religious Referent in the near future.
The projected organization, he explained, will constitute “a body complement to the national security bodies”, will be composed of a panel of religious, imams, thinkers, sociologists, political scientists and communication professionals.
Regarding the hajj 2017, which was drawn on Saturday, Mohamed Aïssa insisted on explaining that the price set at 50 million centimes (DA) is the fruit of hard negotiations stressing that the Algerian side did everything to bring the fee at that price.
According to him, the price of the rent proposed to the Algerian pilgrims is three times less than that practiced in holy places adding that the transport of the hajjis will be ensured by brand-new buses.
With regard to the hajjis’ accommodation at the Arafat Mount, the minister reassured that air-conditioned and well-equipped tents with spaces for guidance, prayer and rest, will be made available to the Algerian hajjis.
Referring to the mission of the 53 accredited travel agencies, the religious affairs minister said that firm guidelines were given to the latter for a good care of the Algerian pilgrims during the hajj rituals in the holy places of Islam.
