Mohamed Aissa: “Algeria Avoids A Sectarian Plot By Eliminating Ahmadiyya”
Algeria folded the subject of the so-called Ahmadiyya sect that became just a past, Religious Affairs Minister, Mohamed Aissa, said during the third forum on the role of Zaouias in the service of religion and the homeland, and the preservation of stability and security, that was held by Felkouma Ahmed Zaouia in Djelfa (southern Algeria), on Saturday.
“This is due to the specific work carried out by the security services, which enabled the control on the spread and sources of funding of this community, and the persons who lead it, as all of them were contacted and the sectarian plot to divide Algeria has been broken down”.
“We said in a meeting with diplomatic missions in Algeria that we do not want to continue what we did because the law eliminated this presence”.
“Mosques were protected against this sect, and the Algerians understood that this movement is an intelligence movement in the service of modern colonialism”.
As for the participation of imams in inviting citizens in the upcoming elections, the Religious Affairs Minister asserted that he called on the imams to push the Algerians to participate in the upcoming elections, in order to stand against all attempts of frustration and discouragement that spread through the social media, which source is unknown.
“But we know that trying to frustrate the Algerians is a danger. I call upon the directors of religious affairs to coordinate with the directors of education to provide annuals and references for the pupils who will sit for the official exams and put them in the libraries that are located through mosques, as some of which must be open to the community”.
