Moroccan king blames Algeria for blocking the Western Sahara issue

The Moroccan king Mohamed VI has once again put forward the solution of self- determination as the sole and unique solution for the Western Sahara issue, disregarding the other choices including the referendum.

  • He has raised the problem frontiers between his country and Algeria blaming as usual “ the other parties” referring to Algeria, for hampering the process of negotiations in order to achieve a consensus over this question.
  • The Moroccan king’s declaration coincides with the 37th anniversary of the so called “Green march” that ended with the annexation of the Western Sahara territory and the, and the presence of the UN Secretary General personal envoy Christopher Rross who started his in the region from the Moroccan capital Rabat after being disavowed by the same Moroccan officials last May.
  • Mohamed VI has campaigned for the solution of “ self -determination within the sovereignty of the Moroccan kingdom and the integrity of its territory” and luring the local , regional and international public opinion with alleged suggestions forwarded by the UN Secretary General denying disclosing the content
  • The Moroccan king has pretended that the international community has accepted the Moroccan vision that the Western Sahara issue is a fabricated regional conflict.
  • Mohamed VI went on his delirium pretending that Western Sahara refugees based in the province of Tindouf, south west Algeria, were Moroccan nationals and that Algeria is sequestrating them and carrying out all forms of torture on them.
