According to a Moroccan police statement, the inspections, conducted in the context of this security operation, resulted in the seizure of several equipment and administrative documents suspected of being used in counterfeiting, notably a laptop, hard disks and mobile phones, as well as a raft of administrative documents and identity papers.
According to the same source, “the criminal method adopted by members of this criminal network made up of 26 persons, including 12 Algerian nationals, was geared to forging administrative documents and identity papers for the benefit of certain Algerian citizens, in order to enable them to secure Moroccan nationality and facilitate their illegal immigration and residence in the country”.
