Morocco follows in the footsteps of Israel in the “care” of separatist renegate Ferhat Mehenni

Morocco’s Makhzen has again committed a serious drift at the expense of Algeria, after its repeated threats and accusations consistently targeting Algeria, which led to derailment of the edification of the Grand Arab Maghreb, by fuelling more tensions in the region, to the extent of labeling Algeria as a “foe”.

This time Morocco went even further in its low-down and shameful practices by calling through its representative at the United Nations for what it termed: “the protection and promotion of the rights of the population of the areas in eastern Kabylia and the inclusion of this matter in the UN Assembly’s agenda”.

In addition to the Zionist entity, Morocco’s Makhzen has now overtly followed suit by shamelessly voicing its backing for renegade separatist Ferhat Mehenni with the covert aim of attempting to destabilize Algeria.

This reckless move by the Moroccan regime is according to seasoned analysts a desperate attempt to obfuscate internal problems now besetting Morocco itself the which have been exacerbated lately by a rising protest movement in the city of Tangier against the Omandis company in charge of supplying electricity and water.

These vehement popular demonstrations which wracked the city were staged in protest at the unabated high prices of the electricity and water supply bills, and the situation is said to be going from bad to worse with the glaring inability of the Moroccan government led by Abdelilah Benkirane to calm down the disgruntled citizens there by seriously addressing the vexed issue.

Analysts also suggested that the Moroccan authorities are now dreading that  the unresolved social demands of large segments of the weary population could turn into political demands and thereby threaten the very life of the monarchical regime which desperately clings to any outside contingency in order to try to turn the Moroccan citizens’ attention from core internal issues.
