Morocco has to apologize to the UN

Moroccan online newspapers Tuesday reported some details about a meeting between the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Morocco’s foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar.
It was clear that the Makhzen has been living in a mess since Ban Ki-moon visited Algeria. The latter criticized a march held by 3 million Moroccans in Rabat as they insulted him.
The UN posted on its website some photos of the meeting. It said Ban Ki-moon told the Moroccan minister that the word “occupation” is a reaction which can be made by anyone when he sees the horrible human situations in Sahrawi refugees’ camps in southern Algeria.
The UN Secretary General expressed disappointment over the Moroccan government’s response, saying protests in Rabat targeted him.
He also said the UN asks for explanations in this regard and Morocco must respect the international organization.
He also said he will continue encouraging real negotiations to reach a fair constant political solution.
