Morocco tries to implicate Algeria in the file of African illegal immigrants
Recent accusations that were made by Morocco to Algeria about “exporting Africans” is false and baseless information, Head of the Algerian League for the Defense of Human Rights, Noureddine Ben Said, says.
“These statements are not in place and are just another miserable attempt by Morocco in the framework of the media campaign against Algeria”.
“Situation of African migrants and refugees at the Algerian-Moroccan borders is an example of the violation of the migrants and refugees’ rights by the Moroccan authorities every day in the “European – Mediterranean” region, which have to take the responsibility for the creation of structures, and the development of legislation to be compatible with international conventions, as well as to prevent the promotion of cooperation agreements that violate the rights of migrants and refugees on its borders, and not to tolerate them in this aspect.
“This problem has existed for years and deportations from Morocco to Algeria across the borders are done illegally, and are targeting the vulnerable groups such as pregnant women pregnant and minors. Migrants are subjected during the migration to a range of violations of their rights, including looting, beatings and other assaults. Immigrants and refugees suffer from miserable conditions, including malnutrition.”
