New York Times: Investigation confirms implication of Egyptians in Ain Aminas, Ben Ghazi terrorist attacks

American newspaper “New York Times” quoted a senior Algerian official as saying that a large number of Egyptians were among the armed group, which attacked the company of gas production in Ain Amenas, as they already participated in the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on last September, during which the Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, was killed along with three others Americans.

The official said, as quoted by “Al Jazeera Net”, on Wednesday, that the Egyptians who were involved in terrorist attacks had been killed by a special force of the National People’s Army in its response to the terrorist attack of Ain Amenas, which ended by the Elimination on 29 kidnappers”, adding that; “Three terrorists who were arrested alive, though someone revealed details of the two attacks during the investigation with him by Algerian security services”.

The American newspaper said that if it is proven that these information is correct, there is a relationship between the two attacks, that would enhance the image of the armed groups and their ability to transfer their activities across the borders, especially since the volatile nature of the area is easy for penetration of borders where dangerous scenes that allow extremists to cooperate between each others in the vast land.

In a related context, U.S. Foreign Secretary, Hillary Clinton, said on Wednesday, ” The Algerians extremists who participated in the attack on the gas company in Ain Amenas were carrying weapons smuggled from Libya”
