Over 14 Algerian pilgrims perished and three suffer mental illness, forcing authorities to precede their flights dates to return back to Algeria among eight who are subject to treatment and care by the medical commission that belongs to the National Office for Hajj and Umrah.

General Manager of the NOHU, Sheikh Barbara told Echorouk in a phone interview, the number of Algerian pilgrims who died in the holy sites reached 14 cases, as they are all elderly, as two women and 12 men suffered chronic diseases.
“Flights of patients with mental diseases were preceded on order to ease things for them and for the pilgrimage mission, as their flights will be programed on Thursday and Friday, especially after registering three developed cases.”
“Some patients suffered renal insufficiency that needs subjecting them to permanent filtering, as two cases were registered, and a case of a pregnant woman in her ninth month was discovered. Over 15 Algerian pilgrims are in Saudi hospitals for many reasons like sun strikes, and three are dangerously ill, at a time the number of analyses reached 14500 until Tuesday.”
