Political Party “El Islah†calls for the creation of a coalition government
The Movement of National Reform “El Islah†doesn’t consider the latest movement of protests that spread in different corners of Algeria as “ sugar and oil revolution †but rather the outcome of the totalitarian regime imposed by the power in place.
- The political party has branded the latest measures undertaken by the authorities to curb the prices surge as sedatives whose effects will vanish in 8 months, calling for the dissolution of the parliament and coalition government.
- Talking in a press conference held yesterday at the party’s premises here in Algiers, the movement’s officials have refused to play the role of firemen to circumvent the crisis.
- “ The prices surge is but the last straw because the real causes behind this popular uprising are the consequences of the oppression, totalitarianism and dictatorship” applied by the authorities on social classes” , the Secretary General Djamel Ben Abdesslam has declared.
- He has further indicated that it was very hard to resolve the equation” Rich country poor people”, noting that though staggering sums were put at disposals the government has failed at all levels”.
- M Ben Abdeslam has blamed the education minister and the religious one who bared the mosques from moralizing the society and the minister of culture that squandered money in festivals. He also slashed at the communication ministry for the lack of transparency
