Two individuals were brought before the court of Oran (450 km west of Algiers ) while a third one is still on the run on charges of forming a criminal group specialized in forgery and corrupt practices as well taking the identity of a French secret agent.

The criminal group has been arrested following complaints lodged by 06 victims who have been lured by these professional swindlers convincing them to pay sums of money to get houses, pieces of lands and visas.

One of the victims revealed that he paid the sum of 1 million and 5 hundred thousands Algerian Dinars to acquire a piece of land.

One of the criminals pushed further, pretending to be one the Algerian president’s relatives as well as being an element of the French secret services to convince his victims to pay money for getting a visa.

The criminals fixed tariffs for each of their doubting transactions, for instance a visa was estimated at 400 thousand Algerian Dinars, a house at 1 million 200 thousand Algerian Dinars and pieces of lands at 800 thousand Algerian Dinars.

Despite their denial of the facts, the court sentenced them to 05 year imprisonment and fined 500 thousand Algerian Dinars each. As to run away , the court sentenced him to 20 years and fined 2 million Algerian Dinars.
