Reliable sources told “Echorouk” that the chairman of the Algerian football federation (FAF), Mohamed Raouraoua has enjoined Algeria head coach Georges Leekens to ward off any mishap versus Tunisia in the second group B fixture in Franceville on Thursday as part of the Africa Cup of Nations’ competition now being hosted by Gabon.

The FAF Chief gave a “dressing down” to the players of the Algeria squad for their lackluster showing on the pitch versus a surprising Zimbabwe team by letting the three points of victory slip away notably by displayed  a paltry play in the first-half of the opening game.

He urged them to make amends by wrenching the three points of victory against Tunisia stressing that if they were to carry the day versus the Carthage Eagles, a draw in the third fixture against the potent Senegal squad would be enough to qualify for the quarter finals of the prestigious African football competition.

Mr Raouraoua also told Georges Leekens to bring the adequate changes in the starting line-up versus Tunisia by incorporating the most resilient and efficient players notably in the mid-field and defensive lines.
