Ryad Mahrez Officially Announces His Desire To Quit Leicester City

Algerian international football star player, Ryad Mahrez, has officially expressed his desire to leave Leicester City for a new experience with another European team.

“I wanted to be honest with my team and I told those in charge about my intention to quit Leicester,” Mahrez said in a press release posted on the French website L’Equipe.

“Last summer I agreed with Leicester’s President to stay for one more season in order to compete in the European Champions League, but now I am very excited to have a brand-new experience,” he added.

Ryad Mahrez did not announce the identity of the next league he wants to play for, whether it’s still the English Premier League or another league elsewhere in Europe.

France’s Paris St Germain was for one very enthusiastic last season to bring him in. Media reports have also indicated in recent weeks that even the FC Barcelona team is interested in the inclusion of Ryad Mahrez within its line-up next season.

As everyone knows, this 2016/2017 football season has brought virtually nothing rewarding for Mahrez, compared to the previous season when he was named with flying colours Premier League player of the year and led the Leicester squad to the Premiership title for the first time in their history.
