Prime Minister of the Arab Sahrawi Republic Abdelkader Taleb Omar said the UN Secretary General’s expected visit will decide in legitimacy and sovereignty-related issues.

Ban Ki Moon will pay a visit to Sahrawi lands in February. “It will impose on the Makhzen regime to accept dialogue and hold talks about self-determination principle.”

The Prime Minister attended Polisario Front’s 14th conference. He told Echorouk it was a very important event as it was held in special circumstances. “Remarkable progress was seen in the Western Sahara issue in the legal and international judicial field.”

He added that Polisario Front relies on Ban Ki Moon’s visit to end the blockage state imposed by Morocco.

Asked about western regimes’ position towards the Western Sahara issue, he said they are convinced that the Makhzen regime’s propositions were not fruitful.

“Some countries such as France, the Yemeni government in Spain still support the Moroccan regime. It is time to make concrete decisions in some issues,” he added.
