Saudi Professor: “Algeria's Military Commanders Are Enemies Of Development”
Saudi academic and former professor at King Saud University, Dr. Dakhil al-Osaimi, attacked what he described as the “military rule”, asserting that the military commanders are the enemy of development, giving example of what happened in Iraq, Algerian and Egypt.
Al Osaimi responded, in a series of tweets from his Twitter account, to someone who said that if the Arab summit achieved nothing but reconciliation among the Arab leaders that would be a great result; “If they reconcile, the suffering of the Arab people will increase”.
“Each one builds development of religious and social values! History has proven that the military commanders are the enemies of development”.
“Not all of them are the enemies of humanity, but those who have no faith and fear of Allah, are the enemy of humanity”.
Dr. Dakhil al-Osaimi’s tweets came in the context of the Arab summit, which began on Wednesday, in Jordan, and was attended by 15 Arab leaders, after the apology of Moroccan King Mohammed V at the last minute, while it witnessed a meeting between Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, after a chill in relationships in the recent period.
