Spanish Ambassador to Algeria: Spain did not burn corpses of Algerian illegal immigrants
The Spanish Ambassador in Algeria, Pedro Villena refutes the talk that his country Spain burned the dead bodies of the Algerian illegal immigrants, as he confirmed during a meeting with their families.

“The number of dead bodies found in Spain did not exceed six. My country is obliged to burry them after a DNA test and after storing the results in the bank of information in order to enable the parents identify their missing children”.

The Spanish Ambassador also refuted the fact that the Algerian illegal immigrants’ dead bodies have been buried in Spain, “Figures that were provided by the Imam of a mosque in Alicante about the burial of 600 illegal immigrant’s bodies are false. The Spanish government preserves their corpses in the morgue after the DNA tests”.

According to Kamel Belabed, representative of the illegal immigrants’ families the Spanish ambassador sent an invitation to discuss the tragedy of the families expressing his readiness to cooperate with them in order to alleviate their suffering.

The families of illegal immigrants called on the Algerian authorities to show their coordination with the European countries that are concerned with the file of illegal immigration through a consensus on young illegal immigrants who did not appear since many years ago. They also refuse the fact the candidates for the presidential elections use their tragedy as a political card, and asked for a chance to fond their children.

“I have the irrefutable evidence of illegal immigrants missing in Tunisia, one of whome was wilfully killed”, Belabed said.

This was confirmed by official documents issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Justice. Despite this evidence all the efforts of the families to know if their children are alive or not failed.
