Syrian regime vows to release Abdelkader’s grandson
The chairman of the Scientific Council of Al Emir Abdelkader Association, Professor Zaim khenchlaoui has revealed that the health condition of the prince khaldoun Al Djazairi, currently jailed in the Syrian prisons, is more than satisfactory and will be released soon following the accord given by Bechar Al Assad.
- The official has reassured the Algerian people over the prisoners’ health condition noting that his family has been allowed to visit him in his cell recently. M khencheli has indicated that the spirit of Abdelkader’s grandson was high noting that his case will be settled soon declining fixing a date.
- The Syrian authorities have promised his family to release him soon noting that his incarceration was nothing else but to protect him. This announcement has reassured the prince’s family members whose reputation is well established in this country.
- M khencheli has indicated that negotiations are underway to release the prisoner knowing that unverified news revealed that the prince is facing death penalty, but these allegations were vehemently denied by the Syrian regime.
- His family has called on the President Bouteflika to intervene for the release of the prince especially that he was arrested arbitrarily in front of his Damascus house and deported to an unknown destination.
