U.S. Marines move to North Africa

U.S Department of Defence announced that the marines forces have started to move a rapid reaction team to North Africa, adding that they started reaching Spain under the American government ‘s efforts to “protect nationals and interests in the region”.
According to CNN, the forces will use the Spanish Moron air base in order to reach North Africa rapidly, claiming that security dangers are growing since the attack which led to the assassination of the American ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens on last September.
U.S. Marines fast platoon was expected to be ready to move by aircraft six hours after receiving the orders, which would help the pentagon “Prepare a fast response against the security dangers”.
U.S. Marines will secure the American diplomatic missions and nationals, rescue pilots in case of a crash and evacuate American nationals when necessary.
Spanish authorities have granted final agreement on last Friday to deploy 500 marines’ troops of rapid intervention and eight aircrafts for a period of one year.
Marines fast maroon includes 225 professional soldiers and 225 soldiers who use aircrafts that “will implement operations on the soil of countries without even asking for their permission or agreement”.
U.S. Department of Defence has agreed on forming the team by the beginning of April, and will be provided with six aircrafts of the type “V-32”, C 130 tankers for quick movement, arms and mortars, in addition to individual equipment which would support the clashes operations and security missions.
America’s step raised a lot of questions about the fast request by Washington to Madrid, which means that there is a real concern for the Americans over the developments in the North of Africa, including the security, without specifying the centre of this danger which threatens the security of Americans in the Maghreb region. However; the recognition of the Spanish government that the goal is “responding to the crisis which may emerge due to the Arab Spring”(..), is half the answer, especially since the issue us geographic, asserting that the presence of the marines in Maron air base is a Moroccan, Algerian and Mauritanian matter as well, because of the geographic proximity, while the U.S. Forces in Italy and Greece cover Tunisia, Libya and Egypt.
