Unreliable Emails Behind Rejection of Numerous French Visa Application Files
The TLS Contact Center, which is contracted by the French Consulate in Algeria, has established procedures for visa applicants to treat their personal emails, which is constantly being exploited, while rejecting various visa application files because their owners had used transient, temporary or impersonal emails.
The TLS Contact Center, which is responsible for receiving the files of the French visa applicants in the province Oran (western Algeria), is currently the target of discontent on the part of many citizens who have approached it in keeping with the dates set by the official website of the Center for months for visa delivery but to no avail.
The latter’s files have been rejected because the e-mail that was used to get an appointment, which is treated to follow up the visa application file until it is accepted or rejected, proved to be just temporary, imaginary or impersonal email.
According to the cases listed in the official website since April 2, 2009, the center has refused to address visa application files due to this nagging email-related problem.
According to those who have been denied their files, “it is assumed that this new procedure won’t be applied retroactively to those who have received an appointment before this date.”
They point out that the ban listed several cases recorded months ago with e-mails that belong mostly to Internet cafés, which are responsible for preparing the file and determining the date for the applicant in return for the fees of these services, in addition to the fact that a significant number of visa-seeking applicants do not have an e-mail and do not use it.
Such a woeful situation has caused chaos and widespread discontent, especially as the new date requires months. Sources of Echorouk indicate that the dates for this month can only be reached in November or later, more than 7 months from now.
