US State Department Praises Algerian Police Professionalism

U.S Department of State’s Acting Principal Deputy Coordinator For Counterterrorism, Alina Romanowski, praised the “professionalism of the Algerian police and their fundamental role at the regional and international levels”.

After receiving the General Director of National Security, Major General, Abdelghani Hamel, Romanovsky highlighted the importance of developing fields of cooperation between the two countries’ police, keeping abreast of the developments and changes in the field of crime and ways to confront them, and exchanging experiences and expertise in specialized training and the use of modern technologies in policing to improve performance and address security challenges such as organized crime and transnational crime”.

For his part, Major General Abdelghani Hamel said, according to the Directorate’s statement, that the joint security challenges between Algeria and the United States of America impose “a unified and comprehensive response to various forms of criminality at the regional and international levels”.
