Libya’s Zintan revolutionaries denied media reports about their involvement in selling weapons used in In Amenas attack. They described the attackers as “outlaws.”

“Those reports are baseless and we have nothing to do with them. Sister Algeria’s safety is part of Libya’s,” said Libya’s temporary government and Zintan military council in a release.

“We condemn the attack which targeted Algerian brother people’s interests and safety,” they added.

“Weapons trade is everywhere. Yet, it is a shame to attribute that to people who carried out heroic actions to liberate Libya.”

Earlier, media reports said investigation with three arrested attackers showed that Zintan revolutionaries sold weapons to terrorists who attacked an oil field in southern Algeria, a few days ago.
