1 killed in Algeria heavy rain
A man was reported dead Sunday in heavy rain in Algeria. A 40 years old man was killed by the debris of a building that collapsed in the area of Baba El Oued central Algiers.

Hampered by heavy rain many houses collapsed in various Algerian regions during the last 24hours.

In Algiers, rain drops reached 70 mm. A 40 years old man died after a building where 16 families live collapsed in Bab El Oued at 7.15 AM , other three buildings also collapsed in the same area.

In Tipaza locality, west of Algiers floodwaters smashed a building without leaving any victims. In Tizi Ouzou, Azefoune, east of Algiers, two helpless families have been rescued on rooftops to escape flooding. Rain drops reached more than 100 mm in the area according to Meterological service.

In Jijel locality, east of Algeria, 11 houses collapsed during last 24 hours without causing any human loss.

Algerian meteorological services warned climate bad weather will continue in the western and central regions of the country until Monday. However heavy rain will continue untill Wednesday in eastern regions. In the South heavy rains are expected in Bechar, Adrar and Tindouf.

Northern areas will notice Wednesday other climate change coming from the Mediterranean.
