10 years imprisonment for beggars in Algeria

The Algerian government will spend 20 million DZ to conduct investigations about the growing number of beggars in the country.

• The minister of Solidarity Djamel Ould Abbas said Thursday before members of Parliament that this project will help uncover begging networks throughout the country.
• The government plans to toughen regulations regarding beggars and begging with children, specified Ould Abbas.
