10,000 policemen and gendarmes to secure Algerian President Bouteflika’s visit to Bouira

Algerian security forces Friday ended special arrangements to receive President Abdelaziz Bouteflika who will pay a working visit to Bouira (east of Algiers) Sunday.

• President Bouteflika is expected to inaugurate some important development-related projects especially an important part of the East-West motorway. Some 10,000 security guards are mobilised to secure the presidential visit.

• The National Army will strengthen its presence as well in some mountainous areas bordering Bouira. War helicopters will be used to prevent the infiltration of terrorists into the province.

• Security forces reinforced their checkpoints across the main entrances of some municipalities where President Bouteflika will be present in addition to inspecting all vehicles.

• This has remained the third official visit of the president to Bouira since he was elected as President of the Republic.
