10,000 policemen and gendarmes to secure Algerian President Bouteflika’s visit to Bouira
Algerian police.
Algerian security forces Friday ended special arrangements to receive President Abdelaziz Bouteflika who will pay a working visit to Bouira (east of Algiers) Sunday.

President Bouteflika is expected to inaugurate some important development-related projects especially an important part of the East-West motorway. Some 10,000 security guards are mobilised to secure the presidential visit.

The National Army will strengthen its presence as well in some mountainous areas bordering Bouira. War helicopters will be used to prevent the infiltration of terrorists into the province.

Security forces reinforced their checkpoints across the main entrances of some municipalities where President Bouteflika will be present in addition to inspecting all vehicles.

This has remained the third official visit of the president to Bouira since he was elected as President of the Republic.
