100,000 illegal traders in Algeria
Algeria counts more than 1,000 informal markets spread in different parts of the country in spite of the Algerian Trade Ministry’s efforts to put an end to this phenomenon.

According to the Trade Ministry’s figures, those markets attract about 100,000 traders not subscribed in the commercial register.

As the sacred fasting month of Ramadhan is approaching, food prices are soaring especially in organised markets subscribed in the commercial register which include 1 million and 200,000 traders.

People mostly choose those markets in view of low prices there where different kinds of meat, grains and even pasta are available.
