1336 housing units to be distributed by the end of the year
The Director General of the Algerian Agency for Housing Promotion ( AADL) Benidir Lyes has announced that the agency is about to distribute 3000 housing units, among them 1336 by the end of the year dedicated for the beneficiaries of the program 2001-2002.
Talking yesterday at the forum of the newspaper “Liberte”, the manager has indicated that the agency will start receiving new applications as of next March after completing the study of the pending dossiers, noting that his services are about to treat the cases one by one to make sure that the applicants didn’t benefit from housing units before.
The new housing program which is due to be launched before the end of the current year, will include 150 thousand housing units, but the process will be revised in comparison to the ancient program. The price of the house will not exceed 4 million Algerian Dinars, the source added.
M Benidir has indicated that the problem of real estate has been solved in the capital city Algiers, which will enable the authorities to built some 60 thousand housing units in various parts like the municipalities of Baraki, Baba Hacen, Eucalyptus and Sidi Abdellah.
Meanwhile, new cities will be erected in the major provinces like Oran, Constantine and Annaba, noting that the current five year that will last till 2014 includes 230 thousand housing units countrywide.
