17 smuggled container seized in less than 2 weeks in Algiers port
Customs officers in Algiers port stopped an attempt to smuggle foreign cigarettes marks and explosives which were packed in containers coming from Dubai estimated at 32 billion centimes. This is the fourth operation in two weeks while an attempt to smuggle 9 goods containers in Algiers port was foiled.

Customs sources told Echorouk that they strengthened surveillance and coordination among various customs posts in Algiers port after receiving information Sunday evening. They seized 8 containers. Seven of them contained 250,000 foreign cigarettes marks. An other container was loaded with explosives on a ship coming from Dubai capital of the UAE.
