20 years prison against human organs traffickers in Algeria

The penal Code has included in its amanded form, dissuasive sanctions against cladestine immigration networks, in addition to the issuing of sever penelties against the networks that are selling human organs, as well as the case of cultural prejudice, these amendments came as a pressing need, especially after the terrible rise of this phenomenon during the recent years.

• The law punishes in its articles with 10 years imprisonment against traffickers and those who are involved in this issue.
• The amendment contains also the punishment of illegal immigrants with six months imprisonment, which means that the law punishes all those who exit Algeria illegaly.
• As for the criminilization of trafficking in living or dead persons organs, the punishment must reach 20 years of imprisonment, especially if the victim is a minor or disabled or if the crime was done by a criminal gang.
