2010 World Cup qualifications: Algeria 1-0 Gambia

Gambians were beaten by the Algerian national squad Friday with 1-0 as part of the fourth round in the preliminary heats of the world and African cup of nations’ competitions.

• Algeria’s unique goal was scored by Antar Yahia in the 33rd minute making the national team temporarily ranked first with 6 points against Gambia, 5 points against Senegal and 2 points against Liberia.
• Senegal will face Liberia Saturday in Dakar in the second match of Group 6.
