2011 World Men's Handball Championship: Algeria beat Japan 29-24, finish 15th

SKOVDE (Sweden)- Algeria men's national handball team defeated Japan 29-24 (half-time 13-13) Monday in Skovde (Sweden), in the placement matches of the President Cup of the 2011 World Men's Handball Championship (from 13 to 30 January).

The Algerian team has thus improved its world ranking from 19th to 15th.

Algeria, South Korea, Egypt and Japan ranked 4th in their respective group in the preliminary round, and played the 13th-16th placement matches of President Cup.
