30.000 Indonesians wait for visas to visit Algeria
Indonesia Minister of Tourism sent an invitation to her Algerian counterpart to visit the Asian country in order to discuss partnership and cooperation, and to exchange experiences in the field of tourism .
Indonesia Minister of Tourism told Echorouk in the capital Jakarta that she likes to visit Algeria in the near future to discuss the common files that serve the two countries.
Ms. Mari Pangestu Elka asserted in response to Echorouk question that there are real opportunities for the conclusion of a partnership between Algeria and Indonesia, in the field of tourism, and the exchange of tourists between the two countries; ” the delegation representing a number of Algerian travel agencies, which visited Indonesia recently, and met with officials in Indonesia Ministry of Tourism, stood on a series of proposals including a series of facilities and privileges in order to revive the political exchange between the two countries” .

In terms of figures, Indonesia Minister of Tourism said that tourism revenues in 2011, reached $ 8.4 billion, as more than 7 million tourists visited 6.000 Indonesian islands.
The level of tourism development in Indonesia reached 9.3%, a ratio superior to economic growth which is estimated to 6%, highlighting the role of tourism in upward growth of the Indonesian economy .
