30 percent of laureates past with high distinction, minister says

Talking in a conference call, the Algerian education minister, Abu bakr Ben Bouzid revealed that 30 percent of the laureates in the 2008 baccalaureate passed with distinction adding that most of them belong to the new system as opposed to the old one.

The minister accompanied by m Rachid haraoubya, minister of high education, received the best laureates and declared that success rate was the best one since the independence and surpassed last year’s session (53.27 percent).

For his part the minister of high education, Rachid Hraoubia declared that this outcome will give a new and fresh impetus to the Algerian university.
