300 Sonatrach employees “swindled” in vehicle installment purchase convention with CNEP Bank
Echorouk has learnt that over 300 Sonatrach employees have been the target of what they called a “swindling operation” within their own enterprise regarding the payment by installment of new vehicles they acquired on the basis of a convention concluded between Sonatrach and CNEP Bank.
-
The representative of there hapless Sonatrach workers based in Hassi Messaoud, Hassi R’mel and In Amenas told Echorouk that under this convention, they had to disburse a total of ten thousand dinars every month for the payment of their “Fiat” vehicle since the year 2004.
-
-
This sum should have been withdrawn every month from their salary by the relevant Sonatrach department and duly transferred to the CNEP Bank.
-
-
-
-
But they later discovered to their great dismay that this money transfer to the CNEP Bank has not been carried out properly and according to the rules and regulations.
-
-
-
-
The CNEP Bank now wants to retrieve this overdue money and has sent urgent notices to these baffled employees urging them to pay forthwith or face legal proceedings in case of refusal or procrastination.

-
-
This thorny case is still pending with the 300 Sonatrach employees now being left in dire straits.
