3026 kg of drugs seized South of Algeria

Elements of the tenth group, belonging to the border guards of Bechar locality, South of Algeria, seized, this week end, a quantity of 3026 kg of drugs as well as arms. A 50 year-old man was arrested and two escaped towards the Moroccan territories. 

• This is the largest drug seize operation since 2009.
• Previously, Algerian gendarmes seized about 60 kg of drugs in Ain Timouchent, west of Algeria.
