3700 psychologists to hold “peaceful” sit-in in front of President Office next week
The Psychologists National Union (SNP) has decided to mark a sit in front of President Office, on 27 April, and which could be transformed into a march towards the Ministry of Health.
- Head of the SNP, Khaled Kedad told a press conference on Wednesday in Algies that 3700 psychologists are to hold a peaceful sit-in in front of President Office, adding that some of them will bring with them their sons to stress the peaceful nature of their protest move.
- Mr. Kedad said in case the police forces oppressed the sit-in, the protesters would organize a march towards the Ministry of Health, which is charged of indifference to psychologists rights. The interlocutor further addressed police forces to say: “The Head of Police Department, General Hamekl has granted you your rights, and now psychologists want to get their legitimate rights too.”
- The psychologists want the government to review their own status, in addition to the release of compensation system and set collective trainings to psychologists.
