4 Pupils banned from school for offending Algeria anthem

The ministry of education decided to ban 4 junior high school pupils from attending class as they torn down a sign with the national anthem on the wall of their Lycée.

The incident, which stormed the education community in the district, happened in the Okba Lycée in the district of Bab El Oued in Algiers. Four pupils attending catch up classes, torn dawn the national anthem sign and hanged instead a flag of France (the former colonizer of Algeria)The minister of national education Aboubakeur Ben Bouzid contacted by our reporter said to be extremely shocked by this strange behaviour of pupils at school. He also considered their act as offending national sovereignty.He promised to take “adequate measures to punish such an offence”. The incriminated pupils will appear before a discipline commission right after holidays, he added.
